Community Cooperatives
Youth mining workers have lost their traditional sources of survival. The youth collective of quarry communities have formed cooperatives in each district. The cooperatives aim to generate employment by initiating collective quarries.
Ten Cooperatives with 500 youth members have been formed and claims have been put up for them to be granted land by the government for quarrying.
